We are committed to improving the health of Maaori by targeting the unacceptable health inequalities experienced by Māori in Counties Manukau. CMDHB is working to improve and provide you with consistent service, in the areas of cultural inpatient support, emergency accommodation and community support.
Progress is being made but we continue to explore creative, innovative and original solutions from a Maaori perspective.
For us, the ultimate goal of Maaori health is the attainment of Whaanau Ora. Whānau are at the heart of Maaori society. Whaanau fulfil many important functions including spiritual and physical sustenance, aroha, manaakitanga, rangatiratanga, kaitiakitanga and more.
